Yom.Life stores your email address, password hash, profile preferences, learning plans and completion history so you can use the planner across devices. Your password itself is not stored in readable form.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Yom.Life receives your email address and basic profile from Google to sign you in; Yom.Life never receives your Google password.
Guests: if you use Yom.Life without an account, your plans and settings are kept only in your current browser tab and are not stored on the server. If you send an error report or a suggestion, your message and any screenshots you attach are stored so the operator can read and answer them; as a guest, replies are only available while your tab stays open.
Signed-in users can access their own plans. Site administrators can manage accounts and the shared book library but cannot view personal plan contents through the administration screen. Server administrators with direct database or backup access may technically access stored records and must protect them.
Data is used to run your account and generate your schedules. The site uses an essential account session cookie and browser storage to keep an emergency copy of unsaved changes. Browser and server access logs may additionally be processed by your hosting provider.
Yom.Life keeps anonymous, community-wide learning totals; if an account is deleted, its counted learning remains in the totals but is permanently detached from the account.
From Settings you can download your information, update your password, recover previously saved plan versions or delete your account. Account deletion removes the current live database records; automatic local server backups use a 14-UTC-date retention window, enforced at backup checks while the app runs and on its next startup. If the app is stopped, deletion of expired copies is delayed until it runs again. Independent off-host backups may have a separate retention policy, which the operator must disclose.
